I purchased this one year with the intention of slowly building it over a couple weeks. Unfortunately my time was limited and it didn't get done. I took it out again the 2nd year and my 7 year old son and I put it together over the course of 3-4 weeks (between Thanksgiving and Christmas). It took a long time to arrive but i was happy with the product. Very festive scene and challenging with lots of irregularly shaped pieces. be aware that it is larger than the average jigsaw - would not fit on the board i had purchased for the purpose.
