The different areas of the puzzle, though very distinguishable when viewed as a whole, are frustratingly similar in their various parts. My daughter and I, and a bevy of friends, have been trying to put it together for weeks now. For those who want a challenge and are tired of the all too easily assembled puzzles out there, this one will prove your mettle as a puzzle person. 4 of 4 found the following review helpful: Challenging, almost annoying  Aug 30, 2009 By LegoGirl Definitely a difficult puzzle, because there are very few parts of the puzzle that are obviously "unique." Even the EDGE was hard to get together correctly. Once we had assembled perhaps 75% of the puzzle, we started getting almost annoyed at trying to finish it. The last 20 pieces were just as hard! I would recommend this for the hardcore puzzle-lover, but it's not a good pick for a family activity or for people looking for some puzzle-relaxtion. When I began working on the tree and the castle, I had to go by shape instead of color because everything looked exactly the same. The shapes were annoying too because it seemed like a lot of the pieces were shaped identically. I have not yet finished the puzzle, but hopefully it will be completed within the week. If you want a very challenging puzzle I highly recommend this one. Loved this Challenge  Sep 15, 2011 By Liz I have to admit that this puzzle was harder than a 3000 pc puzzle that I completed before this one. It was definitely a fun challenge and I enjoyed spending countless hours over it. I was surprised and pleased to find a paper within the puzzle bag with a Sunsout email asking to let them know if I had any problems with the puzzle. I didn't have to use it because the puzzle turned out perfect. There were no missing pieces unlike the previous Ravensburger puzzle that had 2 edge pieces missing. Also the puzzle pieces fit together well. I can lift the puzzle up as one unit when done without using glue. The colors are cool and vibrant. The puzzle has a glossy finish so you can't have light shining directly on it. Nice , fairy tale- like picture. See all 9 customer reviews on Amazon.com
