The pieces are the perfect size to put together. They aren't too small and not too big. Unfortunately when I put it together I discovered that there was a piece missing, so I called White Mountain Puzzles and they sent me the puzzle again(at no cost to me). There's a lot to be said for a company that knows customer service is number one. Of course I had to do the puzzle all over again because finding one piece out of a thousand is no easy task, but I bought the puzzle in the first place because I enjoy completing them. However, this was the first year we got it from White Mountain Puzzles. In addition to the incredible picture, the puzzle had better quality than those in the past. The pieces were cut so that there was no guessing in regards to their placement, and the puzzle held together in such a way that we were able to move it around without a problem.
